Today, LAPONE ENTERTAINMENT (JAPAN) announced the fourth installment of "PRODUCE 101 JAPAN," the largest-scale survival audition program in Japanese entertainment history, titled "PRODUCE 101 JAPAN New World." Applications are now open.This time, the audition for a boy group will expand the program's scope from Japan to the world.

Applications will be accepted globally (excluding certain regions), and for the first time, global streaming and fan voting will be implemented. Additionally, the first global audition is scheduled to take place in Los Angeles, USA. Together with producers (viewers) across borders, the aim is to create a new global boy group.'PRODUCE 101 JAPAN' debuted in 2019 with its first season, followed by two more series. The show has spawned numerous new terms and trends, dominated social media, and sparked a nationwide audition craze.
The audition process features 101 trainees competing in various challenges, including dance and singing, with the final debut members determined entirely by viewer votes.
Launched in 2019, the first season of 'PRODUCE 101 JAPAN' gave rise to the global boy group JO1. Since their debut, they have appeared in NHK (the Japanese national television network)'s Kohaku Uta Gassen on New Year's Eve for three consecutive years, successfully completed a world tour across Asia and North America in 2025 —including a Tokyo Dome concert —and made their debut on the U.S. radio charts, achieving remarkable success in the international music scene.
In the second season in 2021, INI was formed, and their debut single and six subsequent singles all surpassed half a million sales, with their sixth single, 'THE FRAME,' achieving million-seller status and solidifying their popularity.
In 2023, the first-ever girl group in the series, ME:I, debuted, winning the New Artist Award at the 66th Japan Record Awards and making their debut appearance at the 75th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen. Their debut song "Click" surpassed 100 million views and streams, garnering overwhelming support in a short period of time.

Eligibility:
- Nationality is not a factor.
- Males who are at least 15 years old as of February 1, 2026.
- Self-nominations and recommendations from others are both accepted.
- Experience in singing, dancing, or rapping is a plus! Beginners are welcome!
- Applicants must not be currently affiliated with or under contract (exclusive or developmental) with any other production company at the time of application.
- Applicants must have no objections to appearing in web content, television programs, or other media, or to the use of their likeness or footage during the audition process.
- Applicants must be available to participate in all training camps and recordings (scheduled to take place in Japan and abroad) from January to June 2026.
- Minors must obtain consent from their legal guardian to apply.
