Every day, delivery personnel face numerous obstacles and challenges—ranging from weather conditions and traffic to time pressures. Their primary goal is to ensure parcels reach customers safely. However, there is another unpredictable challenge that directly impacts both their physical and mental well-being: the risk to their personal safety, which can arise at any moment.

A Courageous Employee Protecting Customers' Parcels

J&T Express Thailand proudly commends the bravery and composure of Mr. Nuttawoot Guegkhoontode, a sprinter from the Napa branch in Chonburi province. Despite an unexpected incident while on duty, he successfully protected himself as well as customers' parcels and cash-on-delivery (COD) payments, ensuring that none of the packages were damaged or lost.

In recognition of his bravery and sense of responsibility, the company presented him with an award and certificate of appreciation as a token of gratitude and encouragement. This gesture also aims to inspire fellow employees to perform their duties with integrity, dedication, and the utmost care for customers' parcels.

An Unforeseen Test During Duty

The incident occurred while he was making his usual delivery rounds. Suddenly, two individuals on a motorcycle drove against traffic and aggressively cut him off. Initially, he thought they might be asking for directions. However, the two quickly attempted to assault him with the intent to rob. Though shocked and fearful, he remained calm and defended himself as best as he could. Fortunately, bystanders intervened, defusing the situation. One assailant fled the scene, while the other was injured and taken into custody by authorities for further investigation.

The Outcome of Bravery

Despite the danger, he managed to protect all customers' parcels completely, including COD funds, with no damage or loss. This incident reflects the highest level of responsibility that delivery personnel uphold for their customers.

Behind the Sacrifice is a Brave Heart

After the incident, Mr. Nuttawoot shared, "At that moment, I only thought about surviving to return to my family and completing the deliveries." He also urged his fellow delivery staff to remain vigilant and continuously observe their surroundings for their own safety and that of the parcels and COD funds.

Rebuilding Strength Through Support from Those Around Him

Currently, he is receiving psychological care and support from his supervisors, colleagues, and relevant officials. He has expressed his determination to continue working, adding, "Delivery work may seem simple, but it is filled with challenges and risks. We all do our best to ensure parcels are safely delivered to customers."
