Bangkok Theatre Project presents four days of West End magic for ages 3+, with tickets on sale now via Thai Ticket Major for 5 to 8 March 2026
Bangkok Theatre Project, a Family Theatre Curator dedicated to bringing world-class musical theatre to the children and families of Bangkok, announces the return of The Tiger Who Came to Tea, the West End musical play adapted and directed by David Wood, based on the beloved book by Judith Kerr. The production plays from 5 to 8 March 2026 at M Theatre (New Phetchaburi Road), with tickets on sale now at Thai Ticket Major. A hugely popular UK family favourite, the production has played across the UK and Asia, including China, Singapore, Hong Kong, and returns to Thailand for its second.
Direct from the West End and an Olivier Award-nominated hit, The Tiger Who Came to Tea offers Bangkok families a rare chance to enjoy a world-class show performed by a professional touring cast, right here in the city. When the doorbell rings as Sophie and her mum are settling down for tea, an unexpected guest arrives: a big, stripy tiger. What follows is a whirlwind of "oodles of magic", sing-along songs and clumsy chaos designed to delight young audiences and keep grown-ups smiling too.
With its bright storytelling and playful energy, the show is a lovely introduction to live theatre for younger audiences and a fun shared outing for families. The running time is approximately 55 minutes with no interval, and it is suitable for children aged 3+, making it an ideal first theatre experience for little ones and a joyful treat for everyone coming along. With clear storytelling, visual humour, and plenty of musical moments, it is also easy to follow for English language learners.
"I have loved musical theatre since I was a child, and I have always wanted to share that magic with families in Thailand. When I first saw The Tiger Who Came to Tea in London, the whole room was laughing and singing along, and I knew we had to bring it here. After the joy of our first season, we are thrilled to welcome this smash hit show back to Thailand for the second time, and share it with even more families," said Christine Chirawongviroj, Co-Founder, Bangkok Theatre Project.
Co-Founder Alexandra Just added, "It is a rare opportunity for children in Bangkok to see a world-class touring production performed by a professional cast. It is warm, lively, and beautifully made, perfect for first-time theatregoers. The show is also brilliant for English learners, because the storytelling is so clear, with plenty of action, music, and humour to follow."
