the Tourism Authority of Thailand (New York Office) co-hosted a Thailand promotional event under the "SARRAN x Amazing Thailand Joint PR Partnership" project during New York Fashion Week at One World Observatory. The event was organized by the Department of International Trade Promotion, New York Office, in collaboration with four Thai fashion brands: VICKTEERUT, TAKARA WONG, LANDMEE, and SARRAN.
Held at the heart of one of the world's most influential fashion weeks, the showcase positioned fashion as a powerful conduit of Thailand's soft power. More than 350 distinguished guests attended, including 20 leading fashion editors, 50 prominent KOLs and influencers, and a curated circle of high-spending New York fashion connoisseurs—an audience aligned with Thailand's premium tourism market.
The evening's defining highlight was the unveiling of SARRAN's Fall/Winter 2026 collection, an evocative interpretation of "Modern Thailand." The collection drew inspiration from the historic journeys of Siamese envoys during the Ayutthaya Kingdom, who encountered diverse regional crafts and indigenous wisdom across the Kingdom. This narrative continues the brand's cultural storytelling following the success of "Light of Lotus No.001," presented at the launch of The White Lotus Season 3. That celebrated piece wove together Thai heritage through symbolic blossoms—dok rak, jasmine, and gardenia—reimagining the elegance of Thai royal court artistry through a contemporary lens.
Another highlight of the evening was the presentation of the 'Yak'—the iconic guardian giant of Wat Phra Kaew—reimagined as a contemporary Art Balloon. This striking installation translated the essence of Thai artistic heritage through a modern lens, serving as both a dynamic photo landmark and an interactive activation within the event. Seamlessly integrated into the runway showcase, the piece stood out as a bold cultural statement. Following its debut, the artwork will continue its journey at NY3 Jewelry, extending the presence of Thai art and culture to an international circle of global consumers.
This collaboration marks a significant milestone in advancing Thailand's Soft Power under the "Amazing Thailand" brand—where fashion, culture, and tourism converge. By engaging a high-potential audience, the initiative aims to inspire discerning travelers to experience Thailand firsthand, reinforcing the Kingdom's image as a Premium & Creative Destination. It further affirms Thailand's growing stature as a world-class hub for art, culture, and elevated experiences across the United States and beyond.
Looking ahead to April, SARRAN is set to unveil another exciting chapter in collaboration with River City Bangkok. The project will celebrate the homecoming of the latest collection showcased in New York, marking a major cultural moment—an unmissable partnership at the intersection of Thailand's art and cultural landscape.
