Bangchak Group executives, led by Mr. Nipon Lerttassanee, Executive Vice President, Maintenance Engineering and Project Management Business, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited; Mrs. Kanthamat Kritayanukul, Managing Director, Bangchak Sriracha Public Company Limited (BSRC); and Mr. Atit Chinanthanasiri, Managing Director, Bangkok Fuel Pipeline and Logistics Company Limited (BFPL) participated in the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the development of a system to integrate data on volumes of oil and petroleum products received into and distributed from industrial facilities.
The MoU was signed between the Excise Department and 18 oil?industry stakeholders, including oil companies, oil?transport service providers, and aircraft fueling service operators, with Dr. Pornchai Thiraveja, Director?General of the Excise Department, presiding over the ceremony at the Excise Department.
This collaboration marks a significant milestone in strengthening cooperation between the public and private sectors through the transition of oil?related data management from paper?based documentation to electronic data systems. The initiative aims to enhance the accuracy, speed, and auditability of data linkage, thereby elevating excise?tax administration into the digital era, supporting preparedness for future carbon?tax mechanisms and enhances regulatory oversight with greater transparency and efficiency.
The project reflects the shared commitment of all participating parties to leveraging information technology to establish new standards in the administration and collection of excise taxes on oil and petroleum products, reinforcing Thailand's readiness for modern, data?driven fiscal governance and long?term energy?transition policies.
