Metro Systems Corporation Public Company Limited (MSC) has taken action on its sustainability commitment through the "Planet Roots" environmental program. More than 200 participants, including company leadership, staff members, and their families, joined forces to plant mangrove trees at The Recreation and Convalescence Centre in Bang Pu, Samut Prakan Province, on Saturday, November 29, 2025.
The day's activities began with an educational session covering the Nature Study Center's background and the rich biodiversity found in the area. Participants then worked together to plant 2,000 saplings of two mangrove species: Rhizophora mucronata (Pho-tha-le) and Bruguiera gymnorrhiza (Khae-tha-le). This reforestation effort supports environmental conservation goals by expanding mangrove coverage along the inner Gulf of Thailand coastline, revitalizing the natural landscape and bolstering ecosystem resilience. The new trees will serve as oxygen producers while capturing carbon dioxide, addressing a key contributor to climate change.
Now in its 40th year in the information technology sector, MSC operates under the vision: "Pursuit of Excellence to Serve Our Clients The Best IT Solutions." The company maintains that successful business extends beyond financial performance to include social and environmental stewardship. MSC remains dedicated to supporting initiatives aligned with environmental policies and sustainable development principles.
