The Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) has officially announced the recipients of the Prime Minister's Digital Awards 2025, Thailand's most prestigious honor recognizing outstanding contributions to digital technology and innovation. This year marks a significant expansion of the programme, with three new award categories introduced, bringing the total number of categories to eight reflecting the increasing breadth and strategic importance of Thailand's digital industry.
Dr. Supakorn Siddhichai, Acting President/CEO of depa, stated that the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (MDES), through depa, places strong emphasis on fostering the creation of digital technologies and innovations that address national challenges and drive comprehensive development across all sectors. To honor individuals and organizations that have demonstrated outstanding performance in digital technology and innovation, depa has continuously accepted applications from creators of digital works for evaluation by a panel of distinguished experts since 2017.
"For the Prime Minister's Digital Awards 2025, depa has expanded the scope of recognition by introducing three new award categories: Digital Content of the Year, Digital Software of the Year, and Digital Hardware of the Year. These three domains represent the foundation and core pillars of Thailand's digital ecosystem areas that depa has actively championed and promoted. The addition of these categories is intended to inspire creators across all dimensions of digital technology and innovation, and to drive a sustainable enhancement of Thailand's competitive capabilities on the international stage." Dr. Supakorn said.
Dr. Supakorn further noted that this year's programme received a substantial number of applications and nominations. Each submission underwent rigorous evaluation by domain experts, resulting in the selection of winners who have made measurable and significant contributions to advancing Thailand's digital economy and society.
