กรุงเทพฯ--29 ก.ค.--ธนาคารสแตนดาร์ดชาร์เตอร์ด
กลุ่มบริษัทพรูเด็นเชียล และกลุ่มธนาคารสแตนดาร์ดชาร์เตอร์ด ประกาศขยายและเพิ่มความร่วมมือในการดำเนินธุรกิจขายกรมธรรม์ผ่านช่องทางเครือข่ายธนาคาร (Bancassurance) ซึ่งประสบความสำเร็จด้วยดีนับแต่เริ่มมาตั้งแต่ปี 2541
ความร่วมมือดังกล่าวช่วยให้พรูเด็นเชียลสามารถวางตลาดและจัดจำหน่ายกรมธรรม์ควบการลงทุน กรมธรรม์ออมทรัพย์และกรมธรรม์คุ้มครอง ให้แก่ลูกค้าของธนาคารสแตนดาร์ดชาร์เตอร์ดในเอเชีย ข้อตกลงครั้งใหม่นี้จะขยายความร่วมมือทางธุรกิจของทั้งสององค์กรต่อไปอีกจนถึงปี 2559
ข้อตกลงดังกล่าวจะขยายขอบข่ายความร่วมมือให้ครอบคลุมตลาดรวม 5 ประเทศ จากเดิมได้แก่ฮ่องกง สิงคโปร์ และมาเลเซีย จะขยายไปถึงไทยและญี่ปุ่น นอกจากนี้ พรูเด็นเชียลและสแตนดาร์ดชาร์เตอร์ด ยังมีข้อตกลงความร่วมมือในประเทศอื่นๆเป็นเอกเทศอีก ได้แก่ จีน เกาหลี และใต้หวัน ดังนั้น พันธมิตรระหว่างพรูเด็นเชียลและสแตนดาร์ดชาร์เตอร์ดทั่วภูมิภาคเอเชีย ครอบคลุมรวมทั้งสิ้น 8 ประเทศ
นอกจากผลิตภัณฑ์ด้านประกันชีวิตของพรูเด็นเชียลแล้ว ข้อตกลงใหม่นี้ยังเพิ่มความร่วมมือในผลิตภัณฑ์ประกันอุบัติเหตุและสุขภาพ ตลอดจนประกันแบบอิสลาม
นายสตีฟ เบอร์ทามีนี ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหารสายงานบุคคลธนกิจของกลุ่มธนาคารสแตนดาร์ดชาร์เตอร์ด กล่าวว่า “ข้อตกลงครั้งใหม่กับพรูเด็นเชียล และการขยายขอบข่ายความร่วมมือในภูมิภาคเอเชียที่เพิ่มขึ้นนี้ตอกย้ำถึงความมุ่งมั่นของธนาคารที่จะนำเสนอผลิตภัณฑ์ทางด้านการเงินที่เหนือชั้นให้แก่ลูกค้าของเรา”

พรูเด็นเชียลและสแตนดาร์ดชาร์เตอร์ดมีเครือข่ายที่กว้างขวางในเอเชีย ขณะที่ธนาคารสแตนดาร์ดชาร์เตอร์ดมีสาขาในประเทศต่างๆทั่วภูมิภาคเอเชียแปซิฟิกกว่า 20 ประเทศ พรูเด็นเชียลดำเนินงานด้านบริหารกองทุนและประกันภัยครอบคลุม 13 ประเทศในภูมิภาคนี้ โดย 50% ของกำไรจากธุรกิจใหม่ๆ ของพรูเด็นเชียลมาจากตลาดในเอเชีย
