The Artifact Exhibition sails to new record-breaking attendance

Over 286,000 visitors experienced the majesty of the RMS Titanic at ArtScience Museum ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands is proud to announce that Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition welcomed over 286,000 visitors over its six month run in Singapore. Mr. Nick Dixon, Executive Director, ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands, said, “It’s been a spectacular journey since Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition first opened to the public on 29 October 2011. During the six month run, we’ve received numerous testimonials from visitors who mentioned their journey though the exhibition was both educational and emotional. RMS Titanic may have sunk over 100 years ago, but its story continues to resonate with visitors. I would like to thank Singapore for making this exhibition such a success. It’s not only the best showing for an exhibition at ArtScience Museum but also the most well-attended museum exhibition in Singapore.” Currently, ArtScience Museum is hosting Andy Warhol: 15 Minutes Eternal which features over 260 paintings, drawings, sculptures, film, and video of the legendary artist’s works, marking the first time such an extensive collection is exhibited in Singapore. The exhibition will also be accompanied by a wide range of associated documents, interactive timelines, photographs, and archival material. Stepping into Titanic’s location in June is Harry Potter: The Exhibition which will showcase its grand collection of items in wonderfully detailed settings inspired by the film sets. As fans tour through the exhibition space, they will enjoy some of their favorite props and costumes from all the Harry Potter films, including Harry’s iconic wand and eyeglasses, Professor Snape’sTM original costume, the Golden SnitchTM and the Gryffindor school uniforms. Boasting an iconic lotus-inspired design, the world’s first ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands is the premier venue for major international touring exhibitions from the most renowned collections in the world. ArtScience Museum is a place that begins to question and discover the connection and similarities between the arts and sciences; and look at how people create ingenious work in both fields.
