Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications is working together with Ericsson Mobility World and Metrowerks to support developers creating applications and content for Sony Ericsson mobile phones. The initiative will provide developers with support and certification services, as well as Metrowerks CodeWarrior development tools.
Sony Ericsson will, together with Metrowerks, provide technical support and certification services to developers for Sony Ericsson mobile phones. This includes technical support for SDKs and tools; online training; member and application certification; and interactive web services.
These services will be provided through Ericsson Mobility World, and are designed to strengthen relationships with developers who create applications and content for the company's line of mobile phones. Ericsson Mobility World provides services and support to application developers. With more than 26 local centers around the world, all providing the latest in wireless technology and exciting marketing opportunities, Ericsson Mobility World is an established framework that enables its members to develop innovative solutions for today's wireless world.

Metrowerks and Sony Ericsson have agreed to work together on the full line of Sony Ericsson product offerings, including mobile phones and entertainment devices based on Symbian OS and Java technology. Metrowerks will incorporate Sony Ericsson's application programming interfaces (APIs), SDKs, and phone emulators into its CodeWarrior family of development tools.
