Amarin Plaza renamed as The Erawan Group New identity reflects a shift in positioning to being a leader in hospitality development

Amarin Plaza Plc announced that its corporate name has changed to The Erawan Group Plc, effective from June 15, 2005. The company re-imaging program is geared towards a leadership position in the exploration and development of the hospitality businesses. The company’s SET symbol has also changed from AMARIN to ERAWAN. According to Mr. Kasama Punyagupta, President & CEO of The Erawan Group Plc, this major transformation enhances the image of the entire group of companies. It reflects a commitment to building a unified identity for all members of the group under a single vision of being the highly diversified leader in the exploration and development of the hotel and resort businesses. “We have been implementing the re-imaging program since 2004,” said Kasama. “Major components of this program include a new corporate logo, corporate repositioning, an updated vision and a revitalized business strategy for all members of the group based on a consistent concept”. The new corporate logo, in bluish gray color, features a three-headed elephant with contemporary expressions reinforced by a bold and solid structural form representing reliability, professionalism and prosperity. It also represents the traditional Thai number three. To ensure its readiness to serve customers today and in the future, The Erawan Group has also introduced a new slogan: ‘Exploring the Horizons’. The Erawan Group, comprised of 10 subsidiaries, currently operates property developments for travel and leisure including hotel & resort facilities and shopping centers that serve as meeting places and hubs for tourists. All companies in The Erawan Group will adopt the new logo to ensure they are identified by single branded symbol. “The re-imaging program not only is the change of a symbol – it’s also a symbol of change.
