Citrix Opens Office in Thailand to Support Expanding Customer Adoption
Office to Collaborate with Local Partners to Strengthen Support for Thai Customers
Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: CTXS), the global leader in access infrastructure solutions, today announced the opening of its Thailand Representative Office – Citrix Systems Asia Pacific Pty, Ltd. The charter of the Thailand representative office is to collaborate closely with local channel partners, known as Citrix Solution Advisors, to further enhance the quality of service and support for local customers.
To date, Citrix has nearly 50,000 total users in Thailand across verticals including financial services, government, telecoms, manufacturing, retail and the SMB sector. Some referenceable customers in Thailand include Advanced Info Services (AIS), CAT Telecom and KASIKORNBANK.
“Citrix has been operating through our channel partners in Thailand for several years now, and we wanted to strengthen our customer and channel commitment by opening a representative office and hiring local talent,” said Yaj Malik, Area Vice President, ASEAN, Citrix Systems.
“At the same time, Citrix wants to participate in the strong growth of the Thai economy and be in a position where we can work with our partners to help organisations in Thailand to take advantage of access infrastructure solutions to reduce IT running costs, improve business agility and drive business performance.”
AIS is a good example of a growing number of companies in Thailand that have derived significant benefits from using Citrix access infrastructure solutions. The leading mobile operator in Thailand is using Citrix to centralise its IT systems and provide over 1,500 users across 400 Telewiz branches nationwide with access to critical applications.
“Overall, Citrix has helped AIS to enhance its business agility and customer responsiveness,” said Suphot Punnachaiya, Assistant Vice President – Technical Systems Support, AIS. “Using Citrix, AIS has been able to rapidly provide application access to our franchisees, and support our rapidly growing customer subscriber base. In 2003 and 2004, we saved up to US$ 1.3 million by using Citrix.”
Yaj added that Citrix will also be working closely with its Solution Advisors to help existing customers such as AIS to develop a broader enterprise access strategy where they can drive greater efficiencies and increase their competitiveness.
