All PCs will be installed with Macromedia Studio 8, enhancing educational competency and competitiveness for students and staff
Macromedia South Asia today announced the appointment of Ramkhamhaeng University as its first and largest Premier Academic Partner in Thailand.
With this appointment, Ramkhamhaeng University is set to become a leader in the educational sector in providing multimedia rich curriculum, training and application development courses which will benefit the students, academic staff and the education community.
The partnership also highlights the importance of intellectual property protection in Thailand as all PCs in the university will be installed with genuine Macromedia Studio 8 licenses.
Professor Rangsan Sangsuk, President of Ramkhamhaeng University said: “Our University recognizes the importance of peopleware in the IT industry, especially with the proliferation of the Internet today. The effectiveness of the design and application of a corporate website has a lot of impact on the competitiveness of one’s business today.”
In addition, the partnership with Macromedia is in line with the University’s goal of making Ramkhamhaeng University the knowledge center for all. “All our resources, from infrastructure to hardware to peopleware, are ready for this new shift to academic excellence which will enhance Ramkhamhaeng’s core competency as a knowledge center for all,” he added.
Ramkhamhaeng University intends to insert a series of multimedia-based subjects into its curriculum for its students and will also add training courses on Macromedia Studio 8 that will supplement its existing training courses of its academic staff.
“We also provide consultation, training and assistance to a number of government agencies. With Macromedia Studio 8, we will be able to better value add to our consultation services as well as assist customers in creating multimedia rich applications. In summary, this partnership does not only bring fruitful benefits to our university alone but also to the general public as well,” Professor Rangsan Sangsuk said.
