With the increase in demand for glass products in Thailand and South East Asia, the organisers of GlassTech Asia have announced the exhibition’s 6th presentation to be held at Bangkok in November this year.
Conference & Exhibition Management Services and the Singapore Glass Association have announced at the press conference that GlassTech Asia 2007 will take place at Challenger Hall I, Impact Arena Exhibition and Convention Center, Bangkok, from 15-17 November 2007.
According to the officials from Thai Glass Dealers Association, the production of flat glass is projected to increase 5.2% per year through 2008 to 48.3 million metric tons, of which around 34 million tons will be high quality float glass.
The market for architectural glass is also forecast to grow 5.4% per year through 2008 to US$53 billion; benefiting from the greater use of value-adding glazing products such as laminated, tempered, mirrored glass and double-glazed insulating glass units which have become increasingly popular in developed countries.
