Bangkok--8 Aug--Branded The Agency
The first and only global business magazine in Thai
Bangkokstation Network Company Limited has launched BusinessWeek Thailand, the first and only global business magazine in Thai. The magazine targets business professionals and executives by providing a previously unavailable level of global business intelligence. The first issue of the magazine was released today.
Mr. Andrew Batt, Executive Director of Bangkokstation Network, said the company decided to license BusinessWeek in Thailand after assessing the strong points of the globally respected brand and the exciting possibilities within the business publishing sector. BusinessWeek has an outstanding global network of award-winning business journalists, and the market in Thailand still leaves more room for a magazine offering trusted and balanced coverage and analysis of local and global business issues in Thai.
Mr. Batt added: “All content will be relevant to Thai business professionals and will not be available anywhere else in Thai. BusinessWeek Thailand contains an informative mix of translated global stories and local articles written to the same world-class standards of journalism. We are confident that BusinessWeek Thailand offers insight at an unprecedented level, thanks to a global network of more than 200 business journalists in 19 bureaus around the world.” The magazine is aimed at business professionals who need quality, analytical information and comprehensive global coverage to make better informed professional and personal decisions.
BusinessWeek Thailand will be distributed monthly with a cover price of Bt. 175. It will also be the first newstrade-distributed magazine in Thailand with a globally recognized independent circulation audit.
“We look forward to working with Bangkokstation Network to produce a Thai language edition of BusinessWeek,” said Gary Hopkins, Senior Vice President, Operation, BusinessWeek. “We are confident that BusinessWeek Thailand will be a successful, high–quality publication based on high standards that will meet everyone’s expectation.”
The first issue cover story of BusinessWeek Thailand is ‘Children of the Web - How the second generation internet is spawning a global youth culture, and what business can do to cash in’. Other stories in the 116-page issue include the expansion of Thai restaurant chain Blue Elephant into the consumer market, and an exclusive Q&A with marketing guru Dr. Philip Kotler on what Thai businesses should be doing to do market themselves better.
