LAND ROVER ORIGINAL SPIRIT OF ADVENTURE SAILS ON AT 6TH KOH SAMUI REGATTA

Land Rover Thailand will be a co-sponsor of the 6th Koh Samui Regatta, scheduled to take place off the shores of Chawaeng, Koh Samui between May 26 – June 2, 2007, with a series of unique, exciting activities that would once again strengthen its highly successful event-oriented focus in ‘Experiential Marketing’ strategy. Richard Haigh, President, Land Rover Thailand, stated that “Experiential marking strategy has proved to be very favourable in promoting our unique brand image and getting as close as we can to our customer base. That’s why we joined the Koh Samui Regatta again this year. The event is a truly international yachting event that brings together many of the world’s top sailors, along with large Thai and foreign audience, and definitely presents an ideal opportunity to reach new prospective customers. We will bring the latest models of Land Rover vehicles to showcase at the Tesco Lotus store at Koh Samui during May 23 – 29, 2007 in order to reach customers in Southern province areas, especially in Phuket and Samui. To coincide with the Regatta we will organize “Land Rover Off Road Experience Workshop” during May 25 – 29, 2007 at Koh Samui. This special event offers race goers and SUV enthusiasts an excellent opportunity to try several models of Land Rover in all terrains while enjoying the stunning views of Samui. Moreover, expert instructors from Grand Prix International and Off Road magazine will be helping everyone to learn the ropes of piloting a Land Rover vehicle off road. As the official vehicle of the Koh Samui Regatta 2007, Land Rover will be bringing 20 of its latest vehicles to the event. In addition, during June 1 - 3, 2007, Land Rover will provide its VIP guests with extraordinary driving experiences, both on road and off road, courtesy of Land Rover vehicles, along with several fun activities. Complementary accommodation will be offered at Koh Samui’s brand new prestigious Miskawaan Estate, located on the serene and beautiful setting of Maenam beach. There will also be the ultimate “Land Rover Regatta” party in the evening of June 1 at the Miskawaan.” The Koh Samui Regatta, organized under the auspices of the Yacht Racing Association of Thailand, is officially recognised by the International Sailing Federation and widely regarded as the highlight of the Asian sailing circuit. The week-long sailing extravaganza brings together many of the world’s top sailors from Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, and New Zealand for exciting racing around the scenic island.
