Oracle today announced that it was ranked by Gartner as the fastest growing middleware vendor among the top four portal, process and middleware (PPMW) vendors in Thailand in 2006. In its recent study, “Market Share: Portal, Process and Middleware Software, Asia/Pacific and Japan, 2004-2006,” Gartner reports that Oracle’s PPMW software posted 55% revenue growth in Thailand in 2006 and grew more than two times faster than the market as a whole.
In Asia Pacific, Oracle grew 70%, the fastest growing PPMW vendor among the top three portal, process and middleware vendors in 2006, according to Gartner. With a worldwide growth rate of 45%, Gartner positioned Oracle as the fastest growing PPMW vendor, among the top five providers, in its Portal, Process and Middleware Software Market Share, Worldwide for 2006 report.
Gartner’s definition of the PPMW market segment includes general-purpose portal products, Business Process Management-enabling technologies, application integration and platform middleware.

Leading independent research firms have recognized Oracle Fusion Middleware, and its components, for market momentum and presence, features and functionality, and customer successes. Specifically, in its "Forrester Wave: Application Server Platforms, Q3 2007" report(i), Forrester Research recognized Oracle as a Leader across the board in its evaluation of application server platforms. In the July 2007 report, Forrester's Vice President John R. Rymer states, "This is the result of the broad range of development, deployment, and management features built into its Oracle Application Server and Oracle SOA Suite; its strong strategy; and its growing market presence."
