Vaseline launches ‘Vaseline For Men’ lotion Reinforcing non-stickiness and 15-second fast absorbing efficacy

Vaseline, the daily body care expert by Unilever, has again moved to offer an outstanding product that is in line with rapidly growing trend of men’s personal care items. With an investment of over 120 million baht, Vaseline has diversified into the skin care for men’s segment with the launch of ‘Vaseline For men’ body lotion. This impressive new product incorporates two unique features, which are non-stickiness and 15 second absorption. The product launch is being promoted with an outstanding short comedy film called ‘Men’s Movie’ that will be on screened at Major Cineplex. According to Mrs. Pakachat Taychaburapanone, Market Development Director – Skin, Unilever Thai Trading Co., Ltd., “Men today are more focused on taking care of themselves than ever before. The latest AC Neilsen findings indicated 100% growth in the 2006 men’s personal care segment. Men’s skin care products are among the top ten growth items. Seeing a good opportunity to broaden our skin care customer base to include men, Unilever, as the leader in body care, has launched the new ‘Vaseline For Men’ body lotion targeting men who are conscious of skin health. We are backing this new product with an investment of over 120 million baht.” She added, “The highlight of ‘Vaseline For Men’ is that it is a non-sticky body lotion with that is absorbed within 15 seconds. Compared to a woman’s skin, men’s skin is thicker and it needs skin lotion that is both rapidly absorbed and non-sticky, ‘Vaseline For Men’ body lotion is the ideal solution because is was exclusively developed to meet the needs of a man’s skin. The most recent insight from 400 male respondents who tested ‘Vaseline For Men’, showed that 95% of the respondents appreciated the new ‘Vaseline For Men’ lotion as it is more effective than other brands. 95% stated that ‘Vaseline For Men’ is easily and quickly absorbed into the skin while 94% commented the fact that did not leave a sticky residue on the skin.” Mrs. Pakachat said, “The ‘Men’s Movie’ is a new promotional approach and comes in the format of a 2-minute short film. It was created under the theme of “A Movie for Men, Directed by Men and Produced by ‘Vaseline For Men’, men’s body care expert”. The film was directed by Khomkrit Trivimon, Thailand’s leading professional director.” “This unparalleled movie was created based on insights into men’s behavior showing that they prefer spending their time outside and seeing movies. The film was exclusively produced to appeal to men and it is fun and encourages men to take better care of their skin. The film will help men to learn more and get closer to ‘Vaseline For Men’, encouraging them to try the product. The film will be shown at key Major Cineplex theaters as well as on other media in September. The supporting media that will promote this product launch include new TV commercials that will be on air nationwide from today, outdoor advertising media, print ads and 360 degree marketing communications activities.” ‘Men’s Movie’ has two focuses, which are being a short film for men and providing information about men’s skin. It features the story of a man named “Ter” performed by Chantawit Thanasewi, who has been asked by his girl friend, “Bow” performed by Wichada Jongratanmetheekul, to take her mother shopping. An unexpected incident occurs and Ter suffers many difficulties that attack his skin. Will Ter’s task be successful or not?
