Online hotel booking site Agoda Company is romancing customers with a series of special rates and promotions in Southeast Asia during February, starting from Valentine’s Day.
Agoda is wooing lovers to exotic destinations such as Bangkok, Bali, Macau, Malaysia’s Cameron Highlands and Nha Trang in Vietnam with unbeatable rates and last-minute availability.
Certainly, the appeal of Southeast Asia as a destination for couples and honeymooners has grown considerably over recent years, with its assortment of secluded hideaways and pristine natural scenery. Not to mention the increase in the number of luxury resort developments which has gone hand in hand with the Southeast Asian honeymoon boom.
According to Vice President of Business Development, Mr Wilfred Fan, bookings to romantic resorts have been steadily increasing since Agoda started operations.

Agoda’s trends coincide with general statistics showing an increase in couples traveling to Southeast Asia. A Mintel report in 2006 found 14% of the total number of British weddings took place overseas with a strong growth in the Asian region. Moreover, a Japanese Tourism Board report quoted Bali as the third most popular destination for Japanese weddings with many high-end resorts boasting adjoining chapels.
