Millennium Resort Patong Phuket (MRPP) celebrated the official lighting up of the Christmas trees and festive decorations at Lakeside Wing lobby as well as announcing their official caring campaign in support of various programs designed to help the children to the Sussex House which is supported by New Life Foundation.
Sussex House was established with financial help from Sussex School Children, the West Sussex County Council and the Sussex Police in England in response to the Tsunami disaster of 2004. This has been supported ever since by New Life Foundation which was officially formed in 2006 after the Tsunami. This self funded shelter takes care of children who through various circumstances have been left abandoned.
The Millennium Resort Patong decided to create this programme to bring some happiness into the lives of these unfortunate children not only now and during 2009 but also throughout the years ahead as well as giving them career opportunities when the time comes.
To kick off the campaign, the hotel has arranged to sell a variety of Christmas Goodies throughout the festive period at their two Gingerbread houses in the Lakeside and Beachside Wings of the resort with all the profits being donated to launch this community project.
On-going outing programs by throughout the year will include various activities and outings in which hotel management team will participate together with the children to create a special bond and caring relationship.
Should the children wish, as they grow with their new Millennium family, to pursue a career in the hotel industry then the management will assist in providing the right career path for them in order to enable them to get the right start in their working life. The children will also receive the birthday cake and birthday gift on each of their birthdays every year together with the personal greeting card from the hotel management.
