Bangkok--24 Aug--Aziam Burson-Marsteller
FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, and Junior Achievement (JA) Thailand offer best wishes to six Thai students departing to Singapore for the FedEx Express/Junior Achievement 2010 International Trade Challenge.
The Thai students will represent Thailand at the regional competition on August 23-27 in Singapore, competing against 21 other teams from Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore and Hong Kong.
Now in its second year in Thailand, the FedEx Express/Junior Achievement International Trade Challenge is designed to help students in eight Asia Pacific markets learn about international trade, and provide them with an opportunity to set up a mock business and develop a plan to export a product to an overseas market.
Winning teams in the Thailand leg of the competition were chosen for their understanding of the significance of market research, creativity, planning, and entrepreneurial skills in entering new markets.
M. L. Pariyada Diskul, Executive Director of Junior Achievement Thailand (fifth from right) joins Visut Punsukhumtana, FedEx Express Thailand, Customs Clearance Manager in offering best wishes to six Thai students who departed Thailand to participate in the ITC regional competition in Singapore.
