2010 PINKTOBER campaign marks the 11-year anniversary of Hard Rock International’s support of a search for a cure to breast cancer. The month-long PINKTOBER campaign is an initiative created to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research, and features limited-edition products, as well as a series of live music and fundraising events at Hard Rock establishments around the world.
Hard Rock's PINKTOBER limited-edition merchandise gets you into the hottest color of the season – Pink! 2010 PINKTOBER products, including a collector's edition pin, T-shirt, bracelet, robe, Pink sheets and more, will be sold exclusively at Hard Rock properties worldwide, including Cafes, Hotels, Casinos and on www.hardrock.com. Proceeds from the sale of PINKTOBER merchandise will benefit ‘The Breast Cancer Research Foundation’ and ‘The Caron Keating Foundation’ (UK only) with 75 percent of the retail price of each pin and 15 percent of the retail price of other products sold going directly to the cause.
Hence with this, on Friday, 1st October 2010, Hard Rock Cafe Pattaya and together with Pattaya Thanyarak Foundation under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness, the Princess Mother hosted a ‘Grand Seminar’ and ‘Press Conference’ to raise awareness and knowledge on prevention of breast cancer.
The opening of this month-long event was presided by Guests of Honor, Khun Ittipol Khunpluem (Mayor of Pattaya City), Dr. Tammanit Ansusingha (Director of Thanyarak Foundation), Dr. Pichit Kangwilkij (Director of Bangkok Hospital Pattaya) and Khun Peter Malhotra (Managing Director of Pattaya Mail newspaper).
During the entire month, sales from the auction of 2010 PINKTOBER Pin Frame featuring over 30 pieces of limited-edition PINKTOBER’s pin which included signature of Khun Burin Boonvisut, Thailand’s leading superstar and the PINKTOBER’s special cocktails will be donated to the Pattaya Thanyarak Foundation.
The night ended with special mini concert performances by GMM Grammy’s artists included Wan-Titima, Au-Haruthai and Nui-Nuntakarn.
