Watsons partners with RS to continue the ‘Watsons YOU AWARDS VJ Search’ campaign

Watsons, the No.1 health and beauty retailer in Thailand with the highest sales for five consecutive years, is partnering with RS Public Co., Ltd. to stage the 2nd year of ‘Watsons YOU AWARDS VJ Search’ urging interested persons aged between 15-25 years to showcase their confidence in their unique talent in one of six different categories of Stylish Hair VJ, Gorgeous Eyes VJ, Luscious Lips VJ, Pretty VJ, Smart & Cool VJ and Fit & Firm VJ. A panel of judges will crown one of the six winners with the Best of the Best VJ award and the winner will become the new VJ of You Channel managed by RS Public Co., Ltd. This year’s contest is being supported by a number of Watsons’ business partners including Pond’s, Dove, Nivea, Maybelline, L’Oreal, Premier-Soft and Luxury. Criteria for Watsons YOU AWARDS VJ Search - Male and female aged between 15-25 years - Submit a photo highlighting their distinctive attribute together with their full portrait photo and the purchase receipt of one the above listed Watsons partners. Applicants will also need to submit a story about themselves and their unique attribute. They can apply via the YOU AWARDS website at www.watsonsyouawardsth.com or at any Watsons store. - The application period is from 8 December 2010 – 7 January 2011. - The public is encouraged to cast their votes for the final round of winners from 11 February – 12 March 2011 through www.watsonsyouawardsth.com or sms to 4747009. The public vote will be combined with judges’ scores. The final results will be announced on 12 March 2011. Prizes - Winning prizes include 30,000 baht cash for each winner with a total cash prize value of over 200,000 baht. The six winners will also feature as Watsons’ brand ambassadors to appear in communications materials for one year. - The winner of ‘Best of the Best VJ’ will launch their career as a professional VJ on You Channel managed by RS Public Co., Ltd.
