KTC and three major credit card networks enhance online shopping safety.Members encouraged to apply for Secured E-pay at no cost.
Piyasak Tejasen, Senior Executive Vice President for Products and Distribution, “KTC” or Krungthai Card Public Company Limited, said “KTC and three of the world’s major credit card networks VISA International, MasterCard International and JCB International have collaboratively developed a new safety standard system called Secured E-Pay for Internet product and service shopping. This will provide much assurance to our some 1.72 million KTC credit card members who can apply for the service from now at no cost at http://www.ktc.co.th/3dsecure or register while paying for products and services online if you have not applied for the service previously.”
The system will then allow the members to choose a username and a password for the purpose of identification. The double security mechanism will require a password the user set via Verified by VISA (VbV) of VISA International, MasterCard SecureCode (MCSC) of MasterCard International or J/Secure of JCB International, as well as a PAM Personal Assurance Message to authenticate on the web site at every transaction with certified e-Commerce web shops of VISA International, MasterCard Internaitonal and JCB International.
Online payment with KTC credit card is carried out with 128-bit SSL encryption to prevent unauthorized access to the members’ credit card number while the transaction is in progress.
