THAITANIUM Headlines First of Nikki Beach’s Concert Series with the Best of Thai DJ Talent

Nikki Beach Koh Samui together with partner Bangkok Airways presents an adrenalin-fuelled evening of mind-bending aural massage, featuring the hottest urban sounds and finest regional DJ talent. Top of the bill is award-winning Thai-NYC Hip-hop crossover act, THAITANIUM, who for the past 10 years have been carving out a reputation for themselves as one of the biggest and most successful Hip-hop groups in Thailand. This exclusive evening will explode at 6pm on September 16. THAITANIUM were the opening act for one of the world’s biggest Hip-hop artists, 50 cent, on his “Get Rich or Die Trying” world tour. The trio won “Best Group of the year” by Fat Radio and SEED FM, and were winners of “Best Hip Hop Album of the year” by Season Magazine. THAITANIUM has taken Thailand and the Asian urban scene by storm with their unique blend of Thai and New York street sounds. The two-hour warm-up set will be taken care of by Radio star, DJ. Por, famous for his hot radio talk show “Chae Tae Chao" on 94 EFM and TV’s True Inside News and Academy Fantasia. DJ Tob of Bangkok Invaders, “The #1 Party Rockin’ Crew in Asia,” will turn up the heat as the official opening act, before handing the reigns over to Hip-hop spinners, Southside, presenting their own Southern Thailand-tinged sonic adventure. Southside have previously played as opening act for Akon, and their multi-lingual rap act is garnering a heavyweight reputation in Asia. Bangkok Invaders Headliner DJ Buddha will bring down the house with his moves on the Technics, before THAITANIUM (“Best Star Power 2009”, Junk Magazine) present their astonishing set, showing why they are celebrated as true Asian Hip-hop pioneers. DJ Buddha will wind things down as the party train heads towards its past-midnight destination.
