Singapore's Integrated Healthcare System is Aligned with eGov2015, says IDC Health Insights

Singapore's healthcare organizations are in the final stage of their technological journey, which is the creation of a nationwide Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. This is made possible by the government's focus on the creation of healthcare clusters, cost containment, and achieving semantic interoperability between the various service providers and their disparate information systems. This initiative in line with the Singapore e-Government Masterplan 2011 – 2015 (eGOV15). The government of Singapore sees this journey not only as a technological one, but also a business and clinical transformation process.
