Two of Thailand’s top financial institutions, SCB and KBank, have joined the “Home Renovations after Flooding” campaign by Tra Chang and COTTO, providing special financial offers through personal and home loans to help flood victims restore their home after flooding.
Mr. Anuvat Chalermchai, Brand Director at the Brand Management Office of SCG Building Materials Co., Ltd., said about renovation of flooded home: “Tra Chang and COTTO have set a team of experts to provide advices and consultation to flood victims at no cost to them and invite interested individuals to get a free copy of “Home Renovations after Flooding” manual at Home Solution Centers, Tra Chang Roofing Centers, COTTO Studios and SCG Experience in 20 locations across Greater Bangkok and other flood-hit provinces. And to address a key concern about funding for home renovations, SCB and KBank are ready to give relevant advices and a range of special offers.”
Mrs. Pikun Srimahunt, Executive Vice President and Head of Mortgage Business Division, Siam Commercial Bank (SCB), explained about the bank’s relief measure and special offers for flood victims: “Our financial offer to flood victims divides the beneficiary into two groups—existing and new customers. The offer to existing customers is extended in two ways: loan repayment holiday of six months or extra credit amounting to 120% of mortgaged asset value minus outstanding balance of existing loan, with 0% interest for three months on this top-up amount. Likewise, the relief for new customers is available in two ways: 0% interest for three months plus a waiver of 1% mortgage fee for refinance customers or 0% interest for three months for My Home My Cash mortgage customers.”
In addition to the financial relief, SCB has launched “Helping Hands for Our Home” field campaign, visiting more than 500 flood-hit housing estates in Greater Bangkok and the provinces to help the residents clean their compound. The field staff will be ready to give advices and consultation about effective process to get compensation from insurance companies and facilitate sourcing of home restoration products and services at special prices from various companies. The visit also functions as a channel for the residents and people in neighboring areas to get a free copy of “Home Renovations after Flooding” manual by SCG, with more than 10,000 copies available through SCB’s campaign.
Mr. Chatchai Payuhanaveechai, First Senior Vice President of Retail Business Division, Kasikornbank Pcl. (KBank), said about the bank’s relief measure through “Home Renovations after Flooding” campaign: “KBank is focused on three key facets – reduced installment burden, extended period of installment and added credit privileges. We will adjust the monthly payment down by 40% for a year or grant a three-month holiday for repayment both the principle and interest. Customers of KBank’s credit card, home loan and personal loan who are affected by the flood will be granted a range of additional privileges. With our K- Multi Purpose Home Loan, existing customers can apply for a top-up lending to the 100% limit of their existing loan at 0% interest rate for six months and maximum installment period of 15 years, plus initial approval of the first 200,000 baht within 48 hours.
