Mr. Peter Caprez, Cluster General Manager of JW Marriott Bangkok, Courtyard by Marriott Bangkok and Renaissance Koh Samui Resort & Spa, has appointed Ms. Sanne Emborg as the new General Manager of the Courtyard by Marriott Bangkok.
Sanne joined Marriott International in 2004 as Resident Manager of the Marriott Executive Apartments, Dubai Creek, where she was later also appointed to the position of General Manager, winning the award of "Finance Excellence – Flow Through Management" in the process. Whilst in Dubai, Sanne was heavily involved in the Dubai Business Council, coordinating their annual charity events, and she continued this passion for community service during her later appointments in India.
Sanne has been transferred to Asia Pacific from, first, as pre-opening General Manager of the Courtyard by Marriott Gurgaon, and in 2009 as the General Manager of the Courtyard by Marriott Mumbai, leading in business excellence with achieving “Best Business Hotel” for two consecutive years.
Now in South East Asia at the Courtyard by Marriott Bangkok, Sanne arrives at the right time to drive the newly opened Business Lounge and the 47 new Business Rooms. "It is exciting for me to come to Thailand, one of the world’s best destinations for hotel hospitality. I trust that the recently opened Business Lounge, launched on 9 March together with the fresh, new Business Rooms, and our location of optimum convenience, will lead more business travellers and meeting groups to the hotel. To match the expected rise, I am ready to get in and motivate the hotel's staff to go constantly above and beyond expectations, ensuring that the hotel meets our goals of excellence,” said Ms. Emborg.
Sanne speaks five languages - Danish as her mother tongue; English; German; French; and Swedish.
