Ramada Plaza Menam Riverside Bangkok was the venue for the PATA Thailand Chapter Annual General Meeting held recently. The AGM followed with a luncheon held at hotel’s function room and was attended by more than 50 travel industry professionals. During the luncheon, a delicate debate on the subject “Is Thai Culture good or bad for the development of Thailand’s Tourism Industries?” was presented by keynote speakers Mr. VoranaiVanijaka, a political columnist at the Bangkok Post and lecturer in journalism and mass media at Thammasat University, and ImtiazMuqbil, Executive Editor of Travel Impact Newswire. The event was hosted by PATA Thailand Chapter Chairman, Mr. Bert van Walbeek who warmly welcomed members of the Thailand Chapter and PATA counterparts; Mr. Martin Craigs, CEO of PATA and Mr. Rick Antonson, Vice Chairman of PATA.
