Alcatel-Lucent named a Thomson Reuters Top 100 Global Innovator

Company recognised for worldwide innovation leadership in the communications sector and cited for the relative value and influence of its patent portfolio Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) has been named a Thomson Reuters 2012 Top 100 Global Innovator, recognizing its achievements as one of the world’s most innovative companies. The program, an initiative of the IP Solutions business of Thomson Reuters, honors corporations and institutions around the world that are at the heart of innovation as measured by a series of proprietary patent-related metrics. This is the second year in a row that Alcatel-Lucent was named a Top 100 Global Innovator. The patents cover a wide range of technologies, including fixed line and wireless communications, semiconductors, consumer electronics, multimedia, optical, software, cloud computing, applications and network security.
