Miss Supranee Sriwichian (second from right), Administrator Services Director of Canon Marketing (Thailand) Co., Ltd., recently donated the wind turbine as part of the “Clean Energy for Green World” project by Canon to the representatives of Khai Bang Rachan Kindergarten, Mr. Raywat Chompoojaroen (first from left), Deputy Director of Sing Buri Primary Educational Service Area Office, and the teachers. The electricity generated from the wind turbine will be used in the “Clean Energy Library.” The company plans to install wind turbine at another seven schools so there will be a total of 37 turbines by the end of this year. These turbines are estimated to reduce 44 tons of carbon dioxide per year.
The “Clean Energy for Green World” project by Canon has installed wind turbines to generate electricity at a total of 29 schools in rural areas and a 5-kilowatt hybrid alternative energy set (wind turbines plus solar cells) for The Royal Agricultural Station Inthanon. In 2013, Canon have installed wind turbines at the other seven schools in Khonkaen, Suphan Buri, Angthong, Sing Buri, Phangnga, Chachoengsao and Mae Hong Son. The wind turbines also serve as a learning tool providing the community knowledge of clean energy for five years. The 36 wind turbines and the hybrid wind turbine can generate a total of 58,782 Kilowatts of electricity per year.
