Meritus Hotels & Resorts Wins SPBA Heritage Brand Award for Third Consecutive Year

Meritus Hotels & Resorts received the Singapore Prestige Brand Award (SPBA) in the Heritage Brand category at the recently concluded SPBA 2013 Presentation Ceremony. This is the third consecutive year that the iconic Asian hospitality brand has been conferred the distinction.

Inaugurated in 2002, the SPBA recognises and honours Singapore brands that demonstrate excellence in branding initiatives. The award programme has established itself as a prestigious mark of branding success that local brand owners strive to attain. The Heritage Brand category pays tribute to homegrown brands that continue to embrace exceptional brand practices for more than 30 years. Award recipients are stringently evaluated and selected based on brand heritage and identity, brand strategic blueprint, and brand development and performance.

On hand at the Presentation Ceremony to receive the award on behalf of Meritus Hotels & Resorts was Mr Chong Kee Hiong, Chief Executive Officer of OUE Hospitality REIT Management. Meritus' flagship Mandarin Orchard Singapore comprises part of the initial asset portfolio of OUE Hospitality Trust.
