To celebrateGift Festival and the New Year season, Toys ‘R’Us, in collaboration withThe Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia, haslaunched a campaign entitled “Disney Joyful Gift Festival”. This promotional campaign features a range of Disney toys, created around popular Disney characters including Mickey Mouse, Cars, Planes, Iron Man3, Disney Princess and Frozen, and will be available at all Toy ‘R’ US stores from November 12, 2013 to January 6, 2014.
As part of the “Disney Joyful Gift Festival”, selected Disney merchandise will also be offered at attractive prices. These include a new collection of toys created around characters and scenes from Disney’s latest animation movie “Frozen”, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse limited edition plush toys, Disney Princess costumes and a special edition of Marvel Iron Man3, exclusive to Toy ‘R’ Us. Selected customers who purchase items offered under the promotional campaign will be given a free Disney mug.
“It’s the season of gifting and we are delighted to be collaborating with Disney to offer a wonderful range of toys and merchandise to our customers” said Ms. Paveena Saekui, General Manager of Toys ‘R’ Us, Thailand, Toys Retailing (Thailand) Co., Ltd. “We have been collaborating with Disney on various campaigns, offering not just innovative and compelling products but also in creating an engaging retail environment at our stores.”
Toy ‘R’ Us is also showcasing a recommendation of ‘The Top 15 Toys of the Year’ for customers as they go about their end-year shopping and 2 of Disney products are also listed in.
Ms.Paveena Saekui said that since Toys“R”Us opened its first store in Thailand in 2005, it has received positive response from its target consumers continuously. Currently, it has 11 stores across the country, six in Bangkok and five in other provinces. They are at Central World (flagship store), Mega Bangna, Big C Rama 4, Fashion Island, Esplanade Ratchada, HuaHin Market Village, Central Festival Pattaya, Laem Thong Shopping Center, the Mall Bang Khae, Central Festival Phuket East (Homework), and Promenada Chiang Mai.
To increase the number of its stores across the country and be able to service a higher number of target customers, Toys“R”Us will be opening a new store at Central Festival Hat Yai, Songkhla in this December, which will be its first store in the lower southern provinces of Thailand. Toys“R”Us also plans to open more stores next year to cover more provinces across the country as well. In terms of membership, Toys“R”Us Star Card will give members a lot of privileges such as enjoy exclusive savings all year round, accumulated star points and earn star rewards coupon and also enjoy Star Card benefits across Asia at Toys“R”Us in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, China, as well as Brunei. Currently, it has over 300,000 members in Thailand, and the number is increasing every year.
