Bangkok--1 Oct--AirAsia

AirAsia, as the official sponsor of the Volleyball Association of Thailand, joins in congratulating the Thai Women's Volleyball team on their triumph in the 2013 Asia Championship by gifting them and their coaches with "Free Flights on All AirAsia Routes for One Year". The airline will also soon paint one of its new airplanes to showcase the team. Mr. Santisuk Klongchaiya, Director of Commercial for Thai AirAsia, reiterated the airline's support of social activities, especially the support of sports. AirAsia has sponsored Thai athletes to excellence both locally and on the global stage, including the nation's volleyball players, which the airline has supported for the past 2 years both financially and with travel assistance, providing them opportunities to accumulate more experience both domestic and internationally. "The Thai Women's Volleyball team has continually performed with distinction and brought prestige to the Kingdom. They are also beloved by their fans, as was seen during their latest game in which they won a second Asia championship. As their sponsors, AirAsia would like to show our appreciation by providing them with free flights for 1 year. The gift applies to the team members, their coach and their assistant coach (plus 1 assistant). As an extra special touch, we will be painting one of our planes with the whole Thai Women's National Volleyball team so that the world may know of Thailand's star athletes" Mr. Santisuk said. -KP- Click for photo release at www.thaipr.net
