TEAM GROUP donated books to Wat Ban Makluea School in Nakhon Sawan to encourage students to read.
On behalf of TEEAM GROUP, the TEAM GROUP Foundation, represented by its Manager Mrs. Daranee Suksomboon, made a merit through book donation at the Wat Ban Makluea School in Ban Makluea Sub-district, Mueang District, Nakhon Sawan Province, with aim of arming 350 preschool and primary students with intellect.
The activity is part of the Reading Habit Promotion Project, which was initiated as a consequence of participation of the the school’s teachers in the Brain-Based Learning Program, which focuses on their understanding of how the children’s brain work in the context of education. Success of the pilot program is evident in the application by Wat Suan Taeng School in Suphan Buri Province and in international researches which reveals that provision of class book corners at schools in Britain, Australia, U.S.A., Japan and Korea can best encourage the students to develop a reading habit. It was also found that fictions and supplementary books particularly play a vital role in this effort.
As such, TEAM GROUP, represented by the TEAM GROUP Foundation, organized a book donation activity, which included a cash donation of 97,499 baht, for Wat Ban Makluea School. On this occasion, Venerable Phra Nirodha Rakkhit, the abbot of Tha Phra Charoen Phrot Temple (Ban Makluea Temple), received the donations and, together with local people and agencies, offered an additional contribution of 68,740 baht.
