Under the agreement, Automobili Lamborghini becomes the technical sponsor of Fiamme Oro for the next two years, supplying complete pre- and post- competition outfits. The new uniform comprises a tracksuit, polo shirt, jacket, cap and sports bag, in both summer and winter versions, in the official blue and crimson colors of Fiamme Oro. It was designed by Collezione Automobili Lamborghini, the clothing and accessory line of the San’t Agata Bolognese firm, with the logos of both Lamborghini and Fiamme Oro included on all items.
Sponsorship of Fiamme Oro is as extension of the partnership between Lamborghini and the Italian State Police which started back in 2004 with the donation of the first Gallardo to the police force for community support, such as the transport of organs, and for public security purposes. The partnership was renewed this year in May with the delivery of the fifth Lamborghini Polizia, the Huracan LP 610-4, currently assigned to the Highway police.
“Our close relationship with public institutions and our firm commitment to social and ethical responsibility are strengthened today by this agreement with Fiamme Oro. It’s a sponsorship agreement aimed at bringing together the excellence of the Lamborghini brand with the excellence of Fiamme Oro athletes, ambassadors for Italy around the world. Italian sport is an asset to the country and should be promoted. We have a very strong group of spread an important message: from commitment comes excellence. Just like Lamborghini has been doing for more than 50 years with state-of-the-art cars in terms of design and technological innovation,” stated Stephan Winkelmann.
The Chief of Police Alessandro Pansa underlined the winning relationship between the state Police and Lamborghini. “Fiamme Oro and Lamborghini represent a commitment that will soon see our athletes attaining prestigious new goals, supporting the State Police’s obligation to spread the values of legality also through sport; we are proud to contribute to supporting talented young people that enhance our nation’s prestige with their sporting results.”
