Mitsubishi Mirage won the “ASEAN NCAP Grand Prix Awards 2014” in Adult Occupancy Protection in Mini Car category.
Mr. Masahiko Ueki, the President of Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. unveiled the result of ASEAN NCAP Grand Prix Awards 2014 for the first time ever in Malaysia in August 2014 that Mitsubishi Mirage was awarded the highest score in Adult Occupancy Protection in mini car category from the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS)
For the ASEAN NCAP crash test procedure is the frontal crash test. The test car runs to the Aluminum barrier at 64 km/hr. And it records with the sensors from the dummy and car. Then, the result will be compared with the NCAP safety’s standard. Mitsubishi Mirage has got the best safety score in Adult Occupancy Protection in Mini Car category which placed in 4 stars 13.07/16.00 scored. The rating is also applicable to the Mitsubish Attrage GLS Ltd. and GLS grade which has similar safety features. This award guarantees safety of Mitsubishi Eco Car in both Thailand market and export markets.
Mitsubishi Mirage offers fuel saving and it also offers the safety standards which are Anti-lock breaking system (ABS), seat belt reminder (SBR) dual airbag (except for the base model; GL), double seatbelt pretension system.
