By blending humour with elegance, avant-garde ideals with classic tastes, reinterpreting objects of all forms and sizes and playing with false-pretences, Maison Margiela deconstructs shape and volume and moulds a conceptual aesthetic within a one of a kind realm.
This collection has 9 pattern references in 5 design themes:
- "la paésine” : digital printing on eco paper and mica sparkles, non-woven backing, with total dimension of 184cm wide and 300cm high. This mural design comes in 2 panels, with colour themes in natural, black and white.
- "la mosaïque" : a traditional, geometric, and marble mosaic print, most commonly used in 18th century. The screen print is enhanced with silver or gold leaf, on non-woven wallcovering, with roll size of 100cm wide.
- "le rideau” : screen-printing textile wallcovering on non-woven comes in roll size of 90cm wide.
- "le point de croix" : a classic cross-stitch canvas with a finely crafted bouquet of flowers. Screen-printed non-woven wallcovering, in red and blue with a 3D effect – white and silver – nude, with roll size of 100cm wide.
- "l’optique" : a deformed herringbone motif with an optical illusion. Screen-printed non-woven wallcovering, matte base with glossy finish, in Black and white – White on white (matte & gloss) – Black on black (matte & gloss) – Brown and copper (matte & metal) – Pearl grey and white gold (matte & metal), with roll size of 100cm wide.
