Mr. Prapat Rathlertkarn, President & CEO, Planet Communication Asia Public Company Limited or “PCA” a leading provider of telecommunications technology and digital TV solutions in ASEAN has revealed that PlanetComm has won Earth Satellite Communication development project(Telephony Earth Station-TES) from Aeronautical Radio of Thailand Ltd.(AEROTHAI)The former provider has cancelled satellite communication equipment for TES system; therefore, AEROTHAI is seeking for a new Earth Satellite Communication in IP Broadband to replace the old system. PlanetComm has received great opportunity to provideTelephony Earth Station (TES) installation by using ViaSat, Linkway system, product from USA. This project worths over 100 million Baht.
The Telephony Earth Station (TES) Linkway System (MF-TDMA) is a Satellite station in Mesh Star and Hybrid Network, of which, send voice and data signal in Multi Frequency Time Division Multiple Access. This system connects each station directly with high performance and fast response. In addition, Linkway system has Network Control Center (NCC) to manage each channel effectively with RedundantNCC to maintain service consistently and successfully at all time.
Today, AEROTHAI has Base Unit at Tung Mahamek and 34 network stations; for example, Chiangmai, HadYai, Phuket, Trang, Narativas, Ranong, Krabi, Trad, Suratthani, Samui, KaoPom, Ubolrachathani, Nakornrachasima, Tak, Konkaen, RoiEd, Sakolnakorn, Pitsanuloke, Lampang, Prae, Nan, Maehongson, Maesod Chiangrai, including in Foreign countries, such as, Air Traffic Management - Republic of Lao, Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, Vietnam Air Traffic Management, Telekom Malaysia, Department Civil Aviation Myanmar, Cambodia Air Traffic Services.

In addition, PlanetComm has also launched the new product under PlanetLife, a Set Top Box in Hybrid system for both Digital TV and Internet. PlanetComm still explores new business in PlanetFiber for high frequency internet by working with alliances who are experts in this area, will have a clearer picture soon.
