Real Madrid’s Coach Javier Torres has been named the head technical coach of the Real Madrid Football Clinic in Bangkok. Javier brings more than 20 years of experience to the position as an established coach and a former professional player.
“We are excited to have Javier coming to lead the clinic here in Bangkok” said Dr Lionel Wong, Executive Director of FRM Indochina Management. “Javi is one of the most technically proficient coaches that I know and is a very passionate coach who excels in developing young footballing talents. We are fortunate to have someone of his calibre join us on this program.”
From 1982 to 1999, Javier has played professional football in Spain. Since 1999, Javier has been a coach with Real Madrid C.F and the Real Madrid Foundation. Javier has lead and developed numerous overseas Real Madrid football projects around the world. He has also designed many coach-the-coaches training for coaches all over the world. His coaching profile experience includes: Spain, United States, England, Venezuela, Canada, Japan, Korea, Dominican Republic, Kazajistan etc.
“I am so thrilled to come to Bangkok because it’s a place that I feel personally that there are so much interest and passion in football as a sport in Thailand” said Javi. “The key ingredient to happiness and success in life is to never give less than your best in everything that you do. I am looking forward to contribute the best I can to the training program in Bangkok. I will do my best to give each and every one of the camp participants the best tactical and technical advice I can offer.”
The Real Madrid coaches, who would be assisted by a team of assistant coaches, will be conducting the 5 day s Real Madrid Football Clinic in Bangkok.
The Real Madrid football clinic training will be conducted over a 5 days period from 20th April 2014 to 24th April 2015 for children aged 7 to 18 years of age. The clinic participants will train daily from 1630H to 1800H during this period of 5 days at the Harrow International School football field.
The clinic’s training is designed around the philosophies of one of the world’s greatest football teams Real Madrid CF. The youth training programme uses the same training techniques that are taught at their famous 'La Fábrica' in the Ciudad Real Madrid, a $120 million development that has produced players like goalkeeper Ikar Casillas who is considered to be the best in the world. Clinic participants will have the unique opportunity of being coached and trained in methods used by not only players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez, Sergio Ramos, but many of the world’s top football stars.
In addition, as part of the clinic’s social responsibility (CSR) and commitment to giving back to our local community, we will work together with Harrow International School and Hilton Hotel Sukhumvit to sponsor and offer the same opportunity to a group of 25 disadvantaged children.
