Sumitomo Electric’s group company Sumitomo Electric (Thailand) Ltd. has established a branch in Yangon to conduct marketing activities such as marketing research for infrastructure projects in Myanmar.
Myanmar’s economy has been developing rapidly in recent years, and the country is expected to have an increasing need for infrastructure to be constructed, improved and expanded in the future. To meet such needs, Sumitomo Electric (Thailand) Ltd., which has been engaged in sales, marketing research and planning for Sumitomo Electric Group’s products in a wide variety of areas such as infocommunications and power cables, has established a branch in Yangon, Myanmar.
The new branch will conduct marketing research, promote sales and provide marketing support for local agents across the country for projects mainly related to infrastructure, such as infocommunications, power cables and transport, thereby contributing to the development of Myanmar through a broad range of technologies developed by the Sumitomo Electric Group.
