The Kemiri Nut Caress begins with a welcome Foot Bath, a gentle foot scrub, hand massage and foot massage, which lull guests into a state of calm. The therapist next presents a choice of scents to relax or invigorate the senses.
Inspired by the signature Royal Banyan Herbal Pouch Massage, guests will experience the Kemiri Nut Pouch Massage, where pouches filled grated kemiri nuts are dipped in warm coconut oil to massage and moisturise the body. Our skilled therapists use a combination of Balinese, Swedish, and Hawaiian strokes to ensure that guests receive the perfect East-meets-West treatment to melt muscle tension and ease stress. A Head, Face and Shoulders massage completes the blissful experience while the body is wrapped in comforting linen for better absorption of the natural oils.
Indigenous to and commonly used in Indonesia for its nourishing properties, the kemiri nut and coconut oil are specially selected for guests with dry or sensitive skin.

The professional spa therapists of Banyan Tree Spa are trained at internationally acclaimed Banyan Tree Spa Academies in Phuket in Thailand, and Bintan in Indonesia. The academy was first established in Phuket in May 2001 to provide dedicated training facilities to ensure that therapists consistently deliver the high quality treatments that guests have come to expect. Accredited byThailand's Education and Public Health Ministries, all Spa Academy therapists undergo at least 350 hours of rigorous theoretical and practical training.
