Airbus team to provide comprehensive EASA standards training
Located in Ho Chi Minh City, the Flight & Maintenance Training Center, valued at more than US$30 million, will host an Airbus A320 Full-Flight Simulator (FFS) to conduct flight crew training to use jets from the A320 family.
In addition, Airbus will also provide Vietjet with maintenance training services. By using Airbus' training media, courseware, dynamic trainers and teaching techniques, and applying the Airbus Competence Training (ACT) classroom concept, the Vietjet Training Center will perform to Airbus' and EASA's standards.
With this agreement, Vietjet has become the first airline in Vietnam to collaborate with Airbus on a flight and maintenance-training center for the A320 family fleet, which is to be one of Airbus' training legs in the Asia Pacific.
Didier Lux, Head of Airbus Customer Services said: "We are delighted to provide Vietjet with equipment and materials for flight and maintenance training. We are committed to expanding our services footprint in Vietnam and the region, including Thailand, Singapore and Myanmar. Teaming-up with Vietjet through our first training services agreement in Vietnam is a major milestone to deliver Training by Airbus in the region, and it ensures more efficient service, support and proximity to our customers."
