Mrs. Charoonsri Srisukson, Executive Vice President of Krungthai Card Public Company Limited, in collaboration with Mr. Panda Jia, Senior Director of Alipay International, Ant Financial, the largest mobile payment platform in the world, backed by Alibaba Group, and several local retailers, including King Power Duty Free / Siam Paragon / The Emporium / The EmQuartier / The Mall Sky Port at Don Muang Airport / Siam Discovery / Boots / Lotte Duty Free, organized an event of "Alipay+ Global Partnership Series," jointly expanding payment service to Chinese travellers in Thailand. The event was recently held at Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel, Rachadamri Rd.
KTC has been one of the leading financial institutions that provide Alipay O2O (Online to Offline) services in Thailand since late 2015. This is to facilitate Chinese travellers in making payments through Alipay Wallet. All participating stores will use a QR Code reader to scan the QR code generated in customers' Alipay mobile application This will absolutely be modern, fast and convenient for both customers and sellers. It is expected to encourage Chinese travellers to shop and pay more. Besides, the collaboration with Alipay will be another way to help promoting Thailand's retailers to Chinese people through promotion advertisements displayed on Alipay mobile application.
