Following the success of last year's concert, Sukosol Entertainment, the Thai Red Cross Society and Singha Corporation is proud to announce That's Entertainment II, a charity concert to celebrate the 84th birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, with all income generated going to the Princess Sirindhorn Craniofacial Center providing care to underprivileged Thai children.
Kamala Sukosol, Thailand's First Lady of Jazz & Swing brings together some of her favourite performances spanning musical genres, crossing cultural divides and bridging generations.
The concert series also features her extraordinary family of entertainers, Marisa, Sukie, and Noi (Krissada), as well as her granddaughter Natalia and grandson Finnegan (8 years old), with this year's song list containing many memorable hits from Broadway to Hollywood, and from Jazz to Rock to Pop, guaranteed to provide an enchanting and entertaining evening for all.
This year, audiences will be tapping their feet to performances from the musical A Chorus Line (one of Broadway's longest running shows), and singing along with blockbuster hits from Adele, Madonna and Jennifer Lopez. Of course, jazz lovers will be treated to classics celebrating 100 years of Frank Sinatra and Edith Piaf, along with a heartfelt tribute to rock and pop icons David Bowie and Prince.
And look out for Noi performing his newest, self-written song The Grand Finale as a duet with his mother, plus a very special dance interpretation from Natalia during Khun Kamala's hit song Live & Learn, as well as The Bare Necessities, from Disney's The Jungle Book.
As always, each performance is supported by Bangkok's finest big band orchestra under the direction of Piti Kayoonpan, with regular special guest Dolchai Boonyaratavej, and the beautiful dancing of the talented students from the Aree School of Dance Arts. Tanee Poonsuwan will conduct our fantastic chorus group as well as performing in the show. This year we are happy to welcome our American guest performer Scott Spivey, who specializes in ballet and tap.
Enjoy a world-class, fast-paced show full of entertainment, knowing that the cost of the tickets is being donated to make a huge difference in the lives of underprivileged Thai children affected by severe facial deformities through the Craniofacial Center of the Thai Red Cross Society.
