Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit is delighted to announce the appointment of its new Executive Chef, Mark Allan Hagenbach.
An Australian national, Chef Mark brings more than two decades of culinary experience to SofitelBangkok Sukhumvit. He has worked in some of the world's top kitchens and exclusive hotels. He began his culinary career with the Hilton Group in Australia in 1987, spending nine years learning and developing within the group. In 2001, he joined The Oberoi Group as Executive Chef of The Oberoi Lombok in Indonesia, and was soon promoted to
Executive Chef of both The Oberoi Bali and The Oberoi Lombok resorts. Chef Mark has also worked in the kitchens of prestigious resorts in countries as diverse as the Seychelles, Egypt, India, and Serbia. Prior to joining Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit he was the Executive Chef at Grand Hyatt Bangkok.
At Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit, Chef Mark will oversee the operation of each of the hotel's distinctive restaurants and bars; the multi-awarding winning L'Appart rooftop bar and restaurant, "Cuisines on Stage" at Voilà! all-day dining venue,
Le Bar de l'Hôtel chic art-inspired bar, Le Macaron Parisian-style cafe and bistro and 15 creative gourmet catering for events spaces including S Gallery.
