Jetstar Asia is the World’s 8th Most Punctual Airline in the World and 2nd Most Punctual LCC in 2017

Press Releases »

Following on the announcement of Jetstar Asia being the only airline in Asia Pacific to achieve a five-star rating for punctuality in 2017, OAG has released its latest Punctuality League rankings for 2018 that ranks Jetstar Asia as tops in Singapore.
Of the top 250 low cost carriers in the world, Jetstar Asia also ranked second best for on-time performance with a rating of 86.5 per cent.
The most recent report also reveals that Jetstar Asia has scaled up its ranking by six places, from 14th to become the 8th most punctual airline in the world.
The rankings are based on 57 million flight records using full-year data from 2017 for the world's largest airlines and airports. Being 'on time' is defined as flights arriving no more than 15 minutes after the scheduled timing.
Jetstar Asia CEO Bara Pasupathi said that on-time performance is important to all airlines and topping the ranking against low-fares and world-class carriers is an outstanding feat.
"As the second largest airline group operating out of Singapore Changi Airport, thousands of Jetstar customers expect to get to their destinations on time. With more than 600 weekly services operating out of Changi, achieving a top award for punctuality underscores how important the customer is to us and reveals the strength of our systems, processes and teams in Singapore and across the 26 ports we fly to.
"Our teams are encouraged by the recognition and will strive to uphold our commitment to deliver positive experiences for our customers," said Mr Pasupathi.
In October 2017, OAG released its standings for on-time performance for airlines and airports and announced that Jetstar Asia was the only airline in Asia Pacific among 390 airlines across the globe to achieve a five-star rating for punctuality. In that report, only 14 airlines achieved the five-star rating, of which, eight are full-service carriers and six are low-cost carriers. Within the Jetstar Group, Jetstar Airways is tops in Australia, ranking 16 in the world with an OTP of 75.99 percent.
