Megabangna celebrates a Lanna style Songkran festival “Mega Songkran: Mega splash…Mega Lanna New Year” during 12-15 April 2018.

For this year's Songkran festival, Megabangna is ready to offer happiness to all by bringing the exotic town of Lanna to the city under the concept "Mega Splash…Mega Lanna Happiness". The whole shopping centre will be extravagantly decorated with Tung—a northern style flag, and Yi Peng—a northern style lantern to set the stage for the special event. Activities are divided into Sook Jai Zone, located at the main entrance, where every family can take pleasure from inheriting the Thai New Year tradition by paying respect to the replicated buddha statues from various well-known temples around the country such as Phra Buddha Sihing, the renowned Lanna style buddha statue. On the other hand, get ready to splash away all the summer heat at Sard Sanook Zone, located at Mega Plaza, where everyone can enjoy all day cooling off at the mobile water park, well-equipped with giant water slider and water tunnel. Last but not the least, reminiscing the retro fun with traditional temple fair that offers myriad food and snacks from your memory such as old-fashioned ice pops, old-fashioned soda, cotton candy, sugar candy sculptures, and shave ice.
