Vertiv Opens Integrated Modular Solutions Facility in Thailand

          Recognizing the growing need for mission-critical infrastructure to support today's IT applications, Vertiv announced the opening of its newest facility in Thailand. The facility, situated in the industrial area of Rayong on the country's eastern seaboard, will focus on developing turnkey data centers for customers in the Southeast Asia region.
          Situated in a sprawling area of 84,000 square meters, the facility will see raw materials delivered and transformed into modern critical facilities for enterprise customers. It is fully equipped with a clean room that can fit 10 modules simultaneously to accommodate multiple projects, as well as a hard stand area to allow customers to preview the products before delivery.
          Vertiv engineers, draftsmen and architects are also onsite to support tailored customer requirements that match their specific needs.
          "We always start our engineering from the customer's requirements. So the capabilities in our facility are to build whatever our customer needs. We don't have a one-size-fits all approach," said Steve Shelley, vice president for modular solutions in Asia Pacific at Vertiv.
          Vertiv's turnkey data center solutions showcase a unique collaborative design-build process, delivering the infrastructure for compute and storage for a wide variety of applications such as telecommunication sites, manufacturing facilities and enterprise data centers. Because of its prefabricated design and fully integrated features, turnkey data centers are deployed up to 50 percent faster than traditional builds.
          According to Shelley, Rayong was chosen as the site because of the available land area that's conducive to supporting large critical application builds. In addition, Thailand also has a skilled workforce of engineers that support Vertiv's need for building turnkey data centers.
