Esso (Thailand) Public Co., Ltd. together with Esso Employee Club and volunteer employees from ExxonMobil affiliates in Thailand participated in volunteer activities and provided funds for vegetable planting development, water system as well as educational scholarships to students of Ban Sawa in Nan Province.

On this occasion, Mrs. Matana Sutatham (5th left, standing front row), president of Esso Employee Club, together with Esso executives Dr.Taweesak Bunluesin (6th left, standing front row), director, and Mr. Manoch Munjitjuntra, (5th right, standing front row) director and Retail Sales manager jointly presented 765,510 Baht funds to Mr. Pakorn Sasiwatpaisit (6th right, standing front row), Ban Sawa School principal and chairman of Education Management Club for Rural and High Mountain Areas.

The support included the water system of 178,510 baht, the vegetable planting house of 142,000 baht, clothing for students of 19,000 baht and the scholarships of 426,000 Baht.

The watering system and the planting house will be used to enhance agricultural study and vegetable planting to increase community agricultural production which will be delivered to cooperatives and shops, as well as for lunches to the students. It is estimated that the school needs around 14 tons of vegetables annually.

Additionally, 142 scholarships of 426,000 Baht are from the joint program of Esso and Equitable Education Fund (EEF) in selection of students based on its database application to identify those at urgent risk of dropping out from schools per the concept of "Leaving No-One Behind". This is aimed to support needy students in time to pursue their academic endeavor. It is a continued effort following earlier donations to needy students in Phetchaburi province which Esso joined with EEF, Esso service station operators nationwide, business alliances, Esso Club and employees of Esso and ExxonMobil affiliates in Thailand on the fund raising activities.
